The Mountain Empire Action Alliance (MEAA) is a nonpartisan confederation of citizens in Elgin, Sonoita, Patagonia and the Hwy 82 corridor to Vail. MEAA seeks to protect the quality of life and economic well-being of this area from the negative impacts of the proposed Rosemont Copper Mine. You can support MEAA by obtaining T-shirts at Callaghan Vineyards June 19th.

Our Lady of the Angels famous Dog Biscuits will be on sale. The sales table will be in the Sonoita Mercantile Patio at the southeast corner of State Hwy 82 and 83. Your purchase of the dog biscuits as well as other items will go to our Mission Foundation.

The purpose of the Our Lady of the Angels Mission Foundation is to support the Catholic Mission Church in Sonoita, Arizona. It was founded by a group of Christians whose only goal is to build and support a Catholic Church in Sonoita.

The Patagonia Regional Community Foundation (PRCF) works with local non-profits, community leaders and residents to improve the quality of life in Eastern Santa Cruz County. PRCF helped launch the Community Coalition of Eastern Santa Cruz County, Community Housing of Patagonia and recently sponsored a series of community meetings to make local government better. Since 1999, PRCF has provided over $210,000. in scholarships and financial support to local nonprofits.

The tour is a coordinated set of open houses at the homes of area residents who have installed energy efficiency measures, installed renewable energy systems or used green building techniques. We hope you will take part and be inspired to up-grade your home after you learn what others have done to save energy and money.

SCFPA, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to presenting high quality live performances of popular and classical music in area homes and historic sites. Our long range goal: to have a state of the art 200 seat recital hall in Santa Cruz County that will provide a permanent venue for future generations of concert goers.

Just over an hour from Tucson International Airport, Vaughn Canyon Ranch is a 320 acre homestead bordering the Coronado National Forest and three other ranch properties at the foothills of the historic Canelo Hills. This is rare offering in the grasslands of the high Sonoran desert where cattle have grazed for centuries and where the cowboys and Indians roamed at the turn of the past century. The property is currently grazed by cattle and horses. The two main buildings are the original (rebuilt in 1951) 2,000+/- sf ranch house and a new (2005) block horse barn with attached 1,000 sf, 2 BR apartment. There are also a garage and two storage buildings. The acreage has been cross-fenced into 3 roughly 100 acre pastures. Two of these are used for horses and the other for cattle. There is also a 60’ round pen and a 100X150 arena. Water from the solar powered well goes to all pastures.
